In Xcode 11, by clicking on a change bar we can choose an option to display a diff between the old (committed) code and the current (uncommitted) code. Xcode 10 introduces change bars, which highlight uncommitted changes.

If we need to focus temporarily on one editor in our window, instead of closing all the other open editors or create a new window, we have a new focus button at the top left of each editor that will let us do just that. This will automatically highlight the current editor but by using the arrow keys I can choose a different editor or even create a new one at the position that I want. In the Project Navigator, select any file while holding option and shift. Tap the button while holding the option key to add a new editor at the bottom of the current editor instead of the side.
